I have roughly 1,000 files with the same incorrect date. In the videos that are in this collection there is audio with the correct date. What I need to do is sort the files in this album / smart album by filename to make this task of correcting the dates at least a little less painful. I see that Apple, in their infinite loop wisdom, does not allow for sorting by filename within the Photos App. Are there any workarounds?

If you are still running macOS 10.14 with Photos 4, create an album with the photos and sort them by the title. If a photo has no custom title assigned, Photos will sort by the filename instead. But if you already upgraded to macOS 10.15 Catalina, this is no longer possible. Photos 5.0 does no longer use the filename as the default title.
