Can’t move clips around in the timeline of fcpx

Hi,

Just out of nowhere while I was editing I suddenly had to double tap everything in the timeline and when I do, a white border shows up around the clip and the clip is locked in place. I can delete the clip, but can’t do anything else (trim clip, move around, etc. Help would be appreciated.

Did you try quitting FCP X and starting again?

If that does not do it, delete your preferences. Hold down command and option while starting FCP X and click Delete Preferences.

Then reopen your library, and try again.
