Hello, i currently have os 10.9 and i need to upgrade as some apps are not usable anymore. However, when i go to system preferences and updates, there are no updates to be made and i also can not find this in the app store. Can you please help how i can update? Thanks.

Ok I have managed to find Catalina however now I have downloaded it and it gets stuck after I enter my iCloud password.
it doesn’t seem to pass this step. It says install , I press it and then nothing happens
Depending on your specs you may be able to upgrade to El Capitan, High Sierra, Mojave or Catalina.
Try this:
Delete the file "Install Mac OS Catalina" from your Applications folder. Then restart and use this link to download Catalina again:

What is your Macintosh’s exact model number and what version of the system software is it running?
Choose the Apple Menu > About This Mac
It is OS X version 10.9.5
Check in your Applications folder for a file named "Install Mac OS Catalina" and double-click on it. If that does not install please tell us what message you get.
Ok I double clicked on it and it takes me back to the install page . I press install and nothing happens. Also no message
Not sure I don't think I've seen that one before.
