Ios update

I am still using ios 10.3.4, it shows my software is up to date! Why I can not able to use latest version of ios? Why my software is not update for latest version. Is it due to my iphone 5?? Please suggest me.

Apple discontinued iPhone 5 in 2013, so it's nearly 7 years old.

iPhone 5 has a 32Bit architecture and cannot update past iOS 10.3.4.

The latest iOS requires a 64Bit processor which the iPhone 5 does not have.
