Macbook Pro 15" late 2017 won't charge

After the battery went to 0% I plugged in my USB-C charger and the Macbook only shows the connect charger graphic.

I have tested the charger at a store and also tired their own charger.

Result is the power charger is okay, problem is with the Laptop.

Can this be fixed?

Keep it charging for a while.

If you have not tried resetting SMC, try it.

Check the condition/health of the battery.

Your solution is correct. I did find that solution online, tried it and it worked after the 2nd time.

I did take off the bottom cover to find that the laptop was FULL of dust, I mean the fans were so full you couldn't even see them.

After gentle cleaning the inside the reset SMC worked.

Battery condition is normal.

I am in a very hot climate and are exposed to air born dust pollution, however I've never seen the innards of a Mac so dirty before.
