old notes password on Iphone 7

i created a password a year ago for my notes password and my phone got ran over, and when i got my new phone, still an iphone 7, i couldn't remember the password. so i reset it, but the new password doesn't work for the old notes. can anyone help me get into my old notes? i can't remember the password for the life of me. oh, and it won't let me use touch id either.
