Can I import an 8 channel Sound Devices WAV recording into FCPX 10.4.8 and have it read as 8 tracks? When I import the sound devices audio I get only two track stereo. Impossible to mix down like this. It this can't happen is there a work around?

I import the track but it is only showing me stereo left and right. We had multiple microphones on a violin and one on a piano. I can't mix the audio because I can not see the individual tracks.

I was able to split the audio into 6 tracks in FCPX. However I do not have a way to export these tracks with video sync into AAF or X2 Pro file. Any ideas on this?

If I understand correctlt, you have to export an XML from FCP X and take that into X2Pro.
Assign separate roles for each track. They can then be export as separate tracks in the QuickTime file or as separate files.
