Activation lock

I have an old iPad 1 that for some reason has an activation lock. Don’t know the Apple ID associated with the iPad to unlock. I knows it not my current Apple ID. Is there a way to get around this?

If you purchased it new and activated it, then if you have the original receipt, you could bring that and the iPad to the nearest Apple Store and ask for help.

No, there is no way to bypass Activation Lock. If the Apple ID you see is not yours, is this a device that you purchased used?

I purchased new several years ago. Just charged it and was wanting to use it. But is asking for the activation with an iCloud id that isn’t mine for some reason.
