Catalina Update 10.5.3

Any help appreciated. I have an update pop up saying "update available". I go to update now and it says "some updates need to finish downloading..." I hit download and restart and it simply goes back to Update available. How can I reset the download?

Thanks

Hello ChrisF99,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. I understand you are unable to download an update for macOS.

It sounds like the download may take some additional time to complete. You may want to connect your Mac to a different Wi-Fi or Ethernet network, and try again. I'd also recommend restarting your Mac before attempting the download again.
