Phone call

I just received a phone call from a 1-800# it was an automated call saying that my Apple ID has been hacked I hung up thinking it was A scam... how would I verify if there actually is a problem or if I was hacked?

Apple will not call you like that. It was a scam call.

Apple will not call you like that. It was a scam call.
