how to transfer info from broken 2005 Mac to new 2019 Mac?

I have an old 2005 Mac where the screen is completely white and won't let me log on in order to get to files so I can transfer them to my new 2019 Mac. How do I fix it, OR is there any way to get all my old files, photos, and apps off of the old 2005 Mac to put on my new Mac?

iMac 21.5", macOS 10.15

It is likely a 2006 iMac. If so it's way to old to use Migration Assistant. You should remove the internal HD from the machine and put it into an enclosure (something like: https://eshop.macsales.com/shop/external-drives/owc-drive-dock and then you should be able to copy and paste the data you want to the new Mac.

Its definitely a 2005. Im not very good with tech when it comes to doing something like removing the internal HD. Do you think it's something Apple can do if I took the iMac in? Will it be expensive? I was excited just to discover a way to get the monitor to let me log in!!
