Apple TV (non-4K) and CBS app Sound Issue

When I watch the CBS app on my non-4K Apple TV, the sound cuts off for about 20 seconds before EVERY commercial. Last night while trying to watch Picard, I notice that it looks like the video feed is speeding up as the sound cuts out.


Any suggestions?

I contacted CBS about this. The solution on 3rd Gen Apple TVs is to go to settings and turn off the Dolby Digital output. I tried this and it solved the problem.
