can someone tell me how to sort a document I have on numbers by date and year? I have about 6 columns and one of the columns has dates in it (month/year) and I need to group them by months

Can someone help me with numbers?

I have a document with about 7 columns. One of the columns has dates in it. I need to sort the document by months not days or years...but by the month...how do I do that?

Is Numbers recognizing the "dates" as true dates (right-aligned by default)?

If so, you can simply go to the column letter at the top of that column and choose 'Sort Ascending' or 'Sort Descending' from the dropdown.

If you want to "group" by month, have you tried 'Add Category of ... [that column where you have the dates]' ?
