Will increase memory improve speed?
I have an imac 27 inch late 2012 with 16 gb memory and two free memory slots. The mac is so slow now ... will increasing the memory by 2 x 8GB make any difference to the speed? thanks!
iMac 27", macOS 10.15

Probably not. Post an EtreCheck report for analysis.

You're welcome. It might be. You could replace the drive with an SSD which would speed things up but it is an 8 yr old machine.
You're welcome. You didn't have Full Disk Access enabled but my guess is your hard drive is failing. You don't have the normal "junk" some have installed which slows down machines.
Thanks for taking a look at this! Looks like its time for an upgrade ...
