WHAT IF YOU FORGET THE APPLE ID? Hi, I have an Ipad from a few years ago and I don't have the apple ID. Can this be reset? I need to get this Ipad repaired but if I can't remember the ID then I need to know if I can reset it before getting it repaired. Otherwise I might bring it in for a credit. Thank you! Sandy

you will need to contact the previous owner to have them log out of iCloud or go to iCloud.com/Find My Phone and erase the device, then remove it from their account. If you can’t do that, the device is useless.
