How do I transfer my iBooks from my old iPad to my new iPad?

I tried using iCloud to do this by syncing the books through the iCloud drive, however only a couple of my books have been transferred this way. I have quite a large collection, so it would take a very long time to transfer the books by email. Also, these books have not been purchased through iTunes.

Also for reference, my old iPad is the iPad 3rd gen and the new one is the iPad Air 3rd gen

Hello,

Unfortunately this gets pretty tricky as the only other way to get these book files out of iBooks on your iPad (2nd generation) would be to use a 3rd party application as a mediation point. However, there are little to no 3rd party applications that are compatible with iPad 2.

The only thing that may work is to connect your iPad 2 to a Macintosh or Windows PC running iTunes > iPad > File Sharing > Books. From here if your books are listed then you could try saving your books to your computer however if this does not work then there is nothing else you can do.

I managed to find a solution for this by connecting my old iPad to an older version of iTunes and then copying all the books from there and transferring it to my new iPad. Took a while, but was worth it. Now have managed to keep my 1000+ books
