Can I move photos to an album and not just copy them there?

You don’t actually copy photos to an album when you create albums on an iOS device. The album just contains a pointer to the actual photo and not a copy of the photo so not only can you not move a copy to an album, if you delete the photos from the recents album or camera roll, you delete the photo from the album as well.
