Connect Ipad2 to Epson 965H Projector

I purchased a Lightning to Digital AV connector to connect to HDMI. When I first connected, it briefly projected the powerpoint. As I tried to scroll the powerpoint, I lost the signal and can not get it back. The IPad recognizes a dock connector and then the airplay logo at the top flashed. When I go to Airplay for screen mirroring it only gives me an Apple TV option. What am I doing wrong since it briefly projected my IPad screen???

Followed your sequence and IT WORKED!!! Did everything you suggested. You rock! Thanks so much. I guess it was just following the sequence and turning off the Ipad to reset. I'm going to try it a couple of times to make sure the stars are aligned when I actually have to do the presentation. Again, many thanks. Takes a village!

Hello,

Are you referring to an iPad Air 2 not an iPad 2?

If you are using an iPad Air 2, is it running iPadOS 13.3?

Settings > General > Software Update

Is PowerPoint fully up-to-date?

App Store > Updates

The connector is an Apple lightening to Digital AV. Frustrating part was it worked very, very briefly. Other connectors are connectors from the Epson projector. It stopped working when I touched the Ipad to move the powerpoint slide.
