How to record sound from usb mic while making a screen recording with Quicktime

With quicktime, I can make an "audio" recording using a usb mic.

Until today, I could make a "screen" recording with Quicktime, narrating with my voice and my voice would be included in the screen recording. Now, that sound is not recorded. As the recording is being made, the sound indicator in system preferences for input sounds shows sound coming into the system, that sounds is not reaching the screen recording.

Is there a way to fix this?
