My USB SuperDrive would only play CDs
Having just purchased the above I found out it would not play DVDs. (Region is correct). After two hours in the Apple Store the Technicians agreed the device is not compatible with Catalina.
My MacAir was downgraded to Mojave and it worked fine.
Has anyone managed to get it to work with Catalina?

Update: Thought I’d return to Catalina and take the SuperDrive back to the Apple store.
I plugged it back in to the (Catalina) laptop to make sure there was no disk left inside and to my surprise it now works.
So it looks like I needed Mojave to install the SuperDrive to be able to run it on Catalina!

Works fine on my iMac Pro and 5K iMac both running Catalina 10.15.2. It won't play Blu-ray DVDs of course because SuperDrives do not support them.

So back to the Apple Store and see what they say as I would really like to return to Catalina. Just checked and it’s not B/Ray.
