AirDrop to different devices instead to "contact"

Hi Apple Community

My friend and I both have two iOS devices. She uses her Apple ID on her devices, I use my Apple ID on my two devices. Now we'd like to share photos. When she wants to send her photos to my iPad, she can only see my profile/me as a person in the Airdrop menu, but she can't choose the device (my iPhone vs. my iPad). Same problem the other way round: I can see her as a contact, but I can't choose to which of her two devices I want to send the photos.

Why not? Are there any system preferences to change this? Any ideas?

Thanks for your help!

That’s odd. I suppose if you need the file on the other device she could airdrop to your phone, and you could airdrop it from your phone to your iPad. and vice versa. you could also try only having the iPad unlocked.
