Why in the world does it take 13 hours ???

My Apple Watch has been updating all night and then exactly when it’s “preparing” it does it for 2 hours and starts over. Now I’m waiting 13 hours for it to update

Reset your watch by pressing in the crown and side button until you see the Apple logo, then release both.
