Internet Recovery Mode -1008F Error

Hi, I have 2018 15 inch MacBook. It is the base model. I attempted to reinstall Catalina in order to completely wipe the computer from scratch. I ended up bricking my Mac and only get the Internet Recovery option but it fails and leaves me with an error code -1008F.

I also made a USB stick with Catalina and it also ends in the same error.

And ideas on what to do you be appreciated as I can only attempt to reset the VRAM and boot up the USB so many times😅

Hi,

I suppose error related with your Internet connection. Try to make Genius Bar reservation or take your MacBook Pro to Apple Authorized Service Provider to install macOS.

I'm sure they will install macOS on your MacBook Pro for free.
