Reminders app not working on iOS 10.34 (iPhone 5)

HELP, please. The Reminders app on my iPhone 5 — iOS 10.34 — (which I still use because if fits best in my handbag) stopped working after I upgraded the app on my iPad (iPadOS13.3). All my lists are OK in the cloud, but the app (iPhone5) no longer sees them.

Once you upgrade Reminders on iOS 13 it no longer syncs to older devices.
