Movie Rental issue

I rented a movie from the I-tunes store and when I try and play it, I receive the message “this content can’t be played on this Apple TV”

Internet is working fine, I’ve already restarted the Apple TV, and I’ve never had this problem before

Downloading the rented movies proceeds normally to the end, but then there is an error message: the movie cannot be downloaded. This has happened repeatedly with different movies. Hello,

Apple TV's copyright protection system could be activating. Try unplugging the HDMI lead from the back of the Apple TV and from the back for your TV then plug it back in to see if it resolves your problem.
