activation lock all of a sudden after 6 years . don't know original id as my daughter did it . was able to change id and password on apple account but can't unlock ipad . i'm an old guy . what now ?????

My ipad locked up for no apparent reason after 6 years . My daughter set it up then and doesn't remember id or password . I was able to change id and password on apple account but ipad won't accept . So what can I do now / Should add that since I can't unlock , also can't access serial # etc . Thanks for any help.

See if she can recover the ID/password.

Apple ID - How to find your Apple An iCloud e-mail address is an Apple ID.

Apple ID - Find

Enter the Apple (iCloud) ID and click Forgot Password.

If necessary, if you are the original owner, take the device, the original purchase receipt with the serial number, and a photo ID to the nearest Apple Store.
