I have just purchased an Apple TV unit and as part of the purchase I have been given a 12 month subscription at no extra cost. What does the subscription cover? Do I get the movies etc free of the rental charge? What can I view or download for free under this subscription?

What you get is a one year subscription to Apple's new original-content streaming service called Apple TV +. You will find it inside the Apple TV app. Apple has done us no favors with their names. There is a device, an app, and a streaming service all called Apple TV :)
