MACBook battery life

My MACBook is used primarily as a desktop with external peripherals, so, it is always plugged into the power block. How is this going to affect my battery's life?

Not too much provided that at least once every quarter you use it on battery only until the charge drops below 10%. Then connect the charger and allow the battery to be fully charged. This procedure allows the battery to retain its normal life. If you don't do this then it will shorten the battery's life. Otherwise, there is no problem leaving the computer running from the charger.
