App Store 10.13 High Sierra download damaged

I need to upgrade my iMac OS from Sierra 10.12.6 to High Sierra 10.13, but the Apple App Store download is corrupted. Any suggestions?

Can’t update OS from App Store I’ve recently wiped everything on my mid-2010 iMac and was able to update to snow leopard. I’ve installed all available updates but for some reason can’t download newer OS versions from the App Store. I started with El Capitan but every time I try the download time is in the double digits and never finishes. I’ve tried earlier versions and get the same thing. I was running High Sierra before I did all this and would like to get back to that. My internet is fine as everything else downloaded fine but it appears that something is wrong with my version of the App Store. What would be the cause of this and how do I fix this?

There seams to be a problem in the app Store when trying to download macOS 10.14. I get the Note: „This copy of the Install macOS Mojave application is damaged, and can‘t be used ... There seams to be a problem in the app Store when trying to download macOS 10.14. I get the Note: „This copy of the Install macOS Mojave application is damaged, and can‘t be used to install macOS.“ This means that I am stuck and can not update my imac further - my next step would have to be macOS 10.14. Is it possible to get the App store to fix this bug? Helgi

Hi designfemme!

I understand that you're unable to update macOS due to a damaged file, and I'm happy to help. You can delete the installation file from your applications folder, then attempt to update again. You can see more about this in the article below:

If an installer says it can't be verified or was signed with a certificate that has expired
