After upgrading to Catalina on iMac and MacBook Air, mouse lag on both

Strange that both computers are acting up. Try resetting the SMC on both How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

I suppose there could also be some software conflict you might run and post an Etrecheck report on both http://www.etrecheck.com/
