Where is the icloud mail format bar?

I want to adjust the font in my iCloud Mail. Apple support says:

n Mail on iCloud.com, at the top of the message window, click the Show Format Bar button . Select some text or click where you want to type new text, then use the format controls to change text appearance: Choose a typeface: Click the “Select font” pop-up menu. Choose a font size: Click the font size pop-up menu.

I don't see the Show Format Bar button to save my life.

I'm in Safari with the latest version of Catalina working fine.

At the top right off the new email window, click on the A.

Very good to know. In explaining this to my wife I found out she had drafted her message in Word for Mac 2016 and copied and pasted it into an existing iCloud email she intended to forward. That's when the A was not available.

I believe it's only available when you initiate an email in iCloud.
