If I purchase an app on my Macbook and then get a new apple laptop, would I have to re-purchase that app? or is there a way for me to re-download it?
It will be link to the Apple ID you used to purchase it so it will be able to re-download at no extra charge.
Depends. Maybe the app is no longer supported with the new computer and OS.
If you get it from the Mac App Store, you can log in with the same Apple ID and redownload it.
If you get it from another source, check the licensing terms.
