Apple TV 1st Gen lost remote

I’ve lost the remote for my 1st Gen Apple TV. When I try to use the remote app on my XR, it needs me to put in the digit code on my tv with a remote (and my tv doesn’t pop up at all if I use the control center remote) What do I do?
