My Apple TV is connected to the Home app, but the app says Apple TV is not responding. Does anyone have an idea about how to solve this? The system has worked fine for several years but suddenly is doing this.

Try signing out of iCloud on your Apple TV in Settings > Accounts.
Restart Apple TV
Sign back into iCloud
