Trackpad not Recognized

Is it possible fora trackpad to just quit working? Mine is jujst not recognized...?!?

Anything is possible. Is it charged? Have you shut down your computer and left it off for a minute and then booted to see if anything changes?

Yes and yes. Everything has been working fine until all of a sudden it needed a charge and then....nothing. My MacBook doesn’t recognize the trackpad. So weird. Guess I’ll call Apple.
