Using firefox browser and apple IOS moves (by itself) from the window I am currently browsing.

I am new to apple products. l recently purchased and Apple I Mac. I had been using a windows product. I am now wondering if I should have made the switch. I am using Firefox Browser. I am familiar with it and chose it over using safari. However, I find that when I am on a web site like facebook, the computer will simply bounce me off of facebook to a previous page with out me doing anything to make this happen. It is simply random and is really frustrating me. I called apple support and they basically told me to switch to safari. I have tried but can't find squat. Is there anyone out there who has experienced this issue. This also happens on web sites other than facebook. Starting to think I should have stayed with windows....

Are you running any anti - virus programs? Using a VPN?

Try setting up another admin user account in System Preferences/Users & Groups to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. Also try the Safe Mode. Please post back on whether or not this worked.

If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor.  Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown. If the log won’t post, try posting it in Pastebin and provide a link in a reply. After pasting the report in a PasteBin page, go to the top of the page, and copy the address in the URL bar. Paste that in a new reply.        Pastebin

Using Antivirus from Apple (Trend) No VPN in use. I am not much when it comes to computers especially this new one. I fear screwing things up....Not sure about Isolating issue link or safe mode link, Pastebin, or Etrecheck system infor. Seems kind of over whelming. I think I will start using safari for a while to see if this problem exists there. If it does it seems to me it is an apple issue, if not then it seems reasonable to think it would be a firefox issue. What do you think?

If it does it on Safari also, there may be a problem in your account. I would start by uninstalling/deleting the anti-virus program. They tend to interfere with the computer's operation while providing minimal to no benefit unless you work with Windows files. Most long time posters recommend not using antivirus software or cleaning software such as CleanMyMac.

Appreciate the help...I have been on Safari for a couple of hours this afternoon/evening. Everything is stable. The problem earlier described does not happen. So, I believe it is a Firefox issue. Guess, I better learn how to use Safari. I will use Firefox as a back up browser. If it were a Facebook issue...it should still be happening. So, I guess I have found the fix...and better get with the program. Who says old dogs can't learn new tricks. Woof. Thank you for your help. Much appreciated.
