Apple Tv
Do you have to have a 4K TV to use the Apple TV 4K? I don’t currently have a 4K TV but hope to in the next year. So can it be used with my current HD TV?

That is exactly what I did, I bought a Apple TV 4 but had a standard HD TV with the anticipation of getting a 4K TV in the future. The Apple TV worked perfectly on the old TV until I replaced it with my Samsung 65" 4K TV.
