Not automatically finding Ethernet on Mac Pro

Using Catalina 10.15.2

Same cable plugged into my Macbook Pro and it finds internet no problem, super fast.

When cable is plugged into Mac Pro,

System Preferences: Network: Location: Automatic shows

Ethernet 2 Not connected.

Ethernet 1 Inactive.

If I click on Location I get options for

Linksys WRT310N

Linksys WRT310N 2

Location (Date and Time)

If I select Linksys WRT310N 2 I get a bunch of options, all Not Connected, Not Configured, Off except

when I renew the DHCP Lease I can get Ethernet 1, IP address 192.168.1.205

Speedtest when connected is super slow (10% of normal).

So why is it not connecting automatically and what can I do to make it go faster, like on the laptop?

Mac Pro, macOS 10.15

Your connection to the Internet is through the TopMost, Working interface shown on

System preferences > Network

Use the gear icon on that pane to "set service order" and drag the interfaces to make Ethernet topmost, wi-Fi second. then when Ethernet is not plugged in, Wi-Fi will be used automatically.
