Apple TV app (Mac desktop)
I ~really~ do not like the new desktop TV app. I've been using it for a few weeks now, and it continues to befuddle me. In the old iTunes, there was an Episodes view that was very useful to see what you'd watched -- and to correct errors when your unwatched shows got mismarked as watched. Now you have to scroll through a very long of all episodes list not filtered by show name. I don't find the large icons helpful -- they may be pretty but they're useless. And the view of TV shows you've purchased with the episode descriptions doesn't show at first glance whether it's been watched; you have to click the three dots and infer from the menu whether you've watched it. And the finder field has to be chosen from the menu bar each time you want to use it -- why isn't it always there? I know streaming is the thing, but I watch on my bus ride home from work and we go through long stretches with no good signal, so streaming doesn't work for me and I have to purchase.
Also, you can't select to purchase SD versions from the app -- I've found I can only purchase that variety from my phone. And where are the reviews? Frustrating. Since when did Apple choose pretty over functional???
