File in iCloud Drive waiting to upload

Hi - I recently discovered a file in one of my iCloud Drive Documents folders still had the "waiting to upload" dashed cloud icon next to it. This was a file that had been there for 5 months. I tried moving it to a non-iCloud Drive folder and then back, but it still wouldn't upload. Eventually, I opened the file, created a copy, and that copy easily uploaded to iCloud instantaneously. Two questions:

a) Why is this one specific file not uploading to iCloud after 5 months? I am not running out of space and nothing about this file is abnormal. How can I get it to upload?

b) How can I determine if there are other files in my Mac's iCloud Drive folders that haven't uploaded to iCloud?

Thanks for the quick reply, but not sure these links address the problem.

a) The file is a small PDF and a copy I made of it uploaded fine. I have plenty of space on iCloud Drive. It is just this one file that has the "Waiting to upload" icon next to it. Everything else uploads right away.

b) I know what the Waiting to Upload icon looks like. I'm trying to find a way to identify how many files in my iCloud Drive folder has this icon without having to open hundreds of directories within iCloud Drive.

What types of files can I store in iCloud Drive?

You can store any type of file in iCloud Drive, as long as it's 50GB or less in size and you don't exceed your iCloud storage limit. You shouldn't store app folders, libraries, or .tmp files in iCloud Drive.
