If my disk was erased, can I restore files from iCloud?

My MacBook Air was crashed during unsuccessful software update OS 10.15.1. To recover, I erased my disk and, as a result, lost all my data. Unfortunately, my back up drive is not available at this moment, but I have all files on iCloud. Can I restore files using iCloud? Please advise.

Data Recovery! When I removed iCloud from my MacBook, all the files which were not uploaded to the iCloud Drive (only 5GB) got deleted as well. To make things worse, I discovered that I had zero time machine backups since the option had not been turned on for some time. Is there anything I can do to get back my lost files? need to restore data from formatted hard drive "While migrating from my MacBook Pro with an Intel chip to a MacBook Pro with an M2 Pro chip, I lost all the data stored on my hard drive. I managed to recover only a few items from iCloud. Most of the lost items were in the Downloads folder and on the desktop. This data is very important to me; please help me restore it. Thank you."

iCloud File restoring / recovery problem So I have borrowed a MacBook Pro from my friend and logged in my iCloud, then after use I unclicked the function of iCloud files and now all my files on iCloud IS DELETED when I back home and using my own computer. I can only save files in a folder in my rubbish bin and still lots of them are missing. Action token: Recovering the files on Apple iCloud.com but it keep telling me there is problem. and I can't reach any people from Apple to ask, need some help.

If you go to www.icloud.com and log in with your AppleID, you should be able to reach your file. Also have a look there at ‘recently deleted files’
