Mail crashes upon opening

This problem started suddenly after using Mail for half the day. Upon opening with SpamSieve 2.9.38 on OS Catalina, Mail opens then crashes immediately with a lengthy set of problem details. I tried moving Library/Containers/com.apple/mail to the desktop, but that did not solve the issue. Any suggestions?

iMac 27", macOS 10.15

Hello RonHammer,

Strange issue you have there, I would suggest you open the mail in safe mode, by holding shift while opening the mail app. I would also advise you to try to reset the SMC: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201295
