warranty outside EU for a phone bought in the EU

Hello,

I want to sell an iPhone bought in the EU (Netherlands) to a person outside of the EU, and it still has a 1 Year Apple warranty on it. Will the other person be able to claim the warranty and get repairs for the phone at a service centre nearby or is the warranty not valid anymore once outside of the EU?

Thanks

Kars

It's only valid in the country where the iPhone was purchased in, EU can count as own country, but not outside of the EU.

Please see: https://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/products/ios-warranty-document-us.html

Apple One (1) Year Limited Warranty

IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE, iPAD, APPLE TV and HOMEPOD SERVICE.

Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and HomePod to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.
