I am wondering if you actually emailed me about my Apple ID being locked or iff it is a scam?

I got an email saying my account was locked when I open the email it says Apple but has a different link. I am just verifying, since a lot of people in my area are getting the same

Those are always scams. If an Apple ID actually gets locked, its owner will be told when they try logging into it instead of through email.

Forward them to reportphishing@apple.com as attachments and then delete them.
