Mac storage.

When I open the storage management it says that I have 101 GB in iCloud Drive. How do I check what is in iCloud Drive?

icloud showing in storage I'm confused. Please help! I have a New iMac which is in the process of transferring most of my stuff onto the cloud. However, as you can see, when I check storage space on my hard drive, it tells me that almost half of it is still there. Most confusingly, 160 GBs is taken up by iCloud itself. How can this be. I thought iCloud was separate from the HD.

On your Mac, open a Finder window and use the Finder Go menu to go to the iCloud Drive folder.
