Catalina Update not found

I have gone into the App Store and tried to install Catalina. After loading for a few seconds it comes back saying that the update was not found. Then it says "Your Mac is up to date -- MacOS Mojave 10.14.6. I can't find any solutions online and it seems that most people have been able to upgrade so I don't know why my computer doesn't find it. Also I have checked for compatibility and my Mac is compatible, it is a 2017 MacBook Pro. I assumed this would be fixed soon but I have been checking this for about a month now and I am beginning to think that no-one is working on it.

Here is what I did to solve this if anyone else needs help. Open Terminal and type everything in quotes "sudo softwareupdate --reset-ignored" . Then close terminal and check for updates again. Hit command + R to refresh and it should come up with Catalina. I had the latest version of Mojave installed when I did this. If this doesn't work for you I don't know what will.
