Are you running any anti - virus programs? Using a VPN?

Try setting up another admin user account in System Preferences/Users & Groups to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. Also try the Safe Mode. Please post back on whether or not this worked.

Hi Eric.

Negative to anti-virus programs or VPN.

A new admin user account did NOT have the problem. I did not try safe mode with the new user, but I did try it with the original admin user and it did not work.

So, I there an easy way to copy all my settings from the original admin account to the new one? Like, I don't see my backup disc, my Alfred keys or Keyboard Maestro or Text expander shortcuts don't work, all the stuff copied to the desktop are no longer there.
