1 year free apple tv+ subscription on buying a new Apple device

Is anyone able to avail the 1 year free apple tv+ subscription on buying a new Apple device? I recently bought a new MacBook air but am not able to see anything when I subscribe in to apple tv. Please describe the process to be followed if anyone was able to use this?

Follow the steps below. You would need to be signing in for the first time. If you had previously subscribed then you would not qualify.

Turn on your new Apple device and sign in with your Apple ID.
Open the Apple TV app. Make sure your device is running the latest version of macOS.
The offer should be presented immediately after launching the app. If not, go to the Apple TV+ channel page where you’ll see the offer.
Tap Enjoy 1 Year Free.
