Automatically add to iTunes not working since I upgraded to OS 10.15 Catalina

Is anyone else experiencing this? My Music app library is not updating when I drop files into the "Automatically Add to iTunes" folder. The files just sit in the folder. Before upgrading, the files would clear and show up in iTunes under Recently Added. Anyone know why or have the fix? Greatly appreciate any help thank you.
