how do i get my photos back after they’ve been deleted from doing a backup

Have you checked the Photos app for a Recently Deleted album? If you were syncing photos with iCloud, have you gone to iCloud.com/Photos using a computer browser to see if the photos are there and if there is a Recently Deleted album there?
